Description

View of the war memorial in Digne, carved into the rock with a central dome and reliefs, inscribed with the words 'LA VILLE DE DINE A SES FILS MORTS POUR LA FRANCE'. Two figures stand in front of the steps. Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated April 28, 1928, addressed to 'Mes chers amis', mentioning the 'Valley of the Durance' and 'the Maritime Alps'.
