Description

Carnival scene in Nice in 1922, with a dense crowd gathered in front of a building decorated with garlands on Place Masséna. Printed text at the bottom: 'NICE — Carnival scenes, popular ball, Place Masséna'. Back: handwritten correspondence addressed to 'Mme Sara Cassan' in Paris, mentioning the reception of carnival scenes in Bessuillanes and a note on news from Paris. Red 1922 stamp, cancellation 'ALPES 22-4-19'.
