Description

View of the Fontaine Canal in Nîmes, with an arched bridge and bare trees, illustrating the history of the Vistre River. The printed text explains that the canals were built in 1754 and that, previously, the waters of the spring flowed in their natural bed. The reverse has a handwritten address to Mme Belge in Requiers, Six-Fours, with a green 1937 stamp and a Nîmes cancellation of October 16, 1937.
