View of the Pont du Gard spanning the Gardon, with its three levels of stone arches. Printed text at the top: '23. NIMES - The Pont du Gard and the Gardon'. On the reverse, a green 5-centime stamp dated 1918, a postmark from Carcassonne of August 29, 1918, and a handwritten address to 'M. Pech fils, Chemiserie, place Carnot, Carcassonne'.
