Exterior view of the Nîmes Arena, a Roman stone amphitheater with arches and partially collapsed columns. Printed text at the bottom: '68. NIMES — The Arenas — Exterior View'. Reverse: handwritten correspondence mentioning arrival in Nîmes after 24 hours of travel, a visit to the arena, and a promise to send a postcard to Paris. Addressed to Madame Héloïse Brongeul de Lisle in Vitry-sur-Seine. French postmark of 1923 canceled.
