Description

View of the castle of Niort with its round towers and fortified appearance, dating from the 17th century. The back details its history: built in 1155 by Henry II of England for his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, then property of the Counts of Poitou. The castle is now used by the Poitou Costume Museum.
