Black and white illustration of a peasant asking a woman for milk, with printed dialogue: « Could you not Madame, sell me a little milk!... Impossible my poor Sir!... Since my husband left for war, we no longer have any horned animals at home!... ». On the reverse, there is the publisher's mention G. Gervais, publisher, Saulieu, and the note « Reproduction prohibited ». The postcard is dated around 1914-1918, during the war period.
