Description

Rural market scene with a woman selling cabbages to a little girl, illustrating a humorous conversation about the rarity of a single daughter. On the reverse, handwritten address to 'Monsieur Duchesne of the town' in Saint-Léger-de-Fougères, with a 15-centime Pasteur postmark and post office cancellation dated August 25, 1918.
