Satirical postcard depicting an elected deputy sitting at his desk, holding a letter and looking at the observer with a mocking expression. The printed text on the front, at the bottom, reads: 'Finally elected... I am elected... But let's see all these letters from my poor voters. How stupid they must be! If they think I'm going to answer them...'. The reverse features a handwritten address to Madame Emmanuel in Marteille, a green 5-centime stamp, and a circular postmark from Nantes dated 14 May 1907.
