Description

Interior view of the ossuary of Notre-Dame de Lorette, showing a central stone engraved with « HERE ARE COLLECTED THE REMAINS OF UNKNOWN SOLDIERS WHO DIED ». The architectural decor is adorned with carved motifs and railings. On the reverse, a poem by Mgr Julien, a handwritten address to Saint-Gobain, and a 40-centime French postmark canceled in Paris on 13-6-1959.
