Black and white view of the building 'One, The Close' in Winchester, with the Gothic cathedral in the background. The reverse has handwritten French text dated 30 July 1958, sent from Southampton to Paris, with a British royal stamp and a circular cancellation 'SOUTHAMPTON 6.15PM 30 JULY'.
