View of the ancient theatre in Orange, with its stone steps and ruined hillside backdrop. Printed text at the top: '10 ORANGE. — The Ancient Theatre.' On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 8 April 1910, sent to Madame Villemaison in Epinay (Seine et Oise), mentioning a visit to the ancient theatre. French postage stamp of 10 centimes, cancellation 'ORANGE 8 AVRIL 1910'.
