Description

Wooden sculpture from the 12th century depicting the Virgin Mary seated holding the Infant Jesus crowned, with an inscription indicating the crowning on 3 May 1894. The reverse bears handwritten text addressed to 'Mme de Guenther, St-Brieuc, Côtes-du-Nord', a 20 centime French postage stamp, and a cancellation of Puy.
