Description

View of Place du Martroi in Orléans, the main and central square of the city, with the equestrian statue of Joan of Arc by Foyatier, inaugurated May 8, 1855. The surrounding buildings display ornate architecture. The reverse bears a circular postmark of the Grand Hôtel St-Nicolas d'Orléans and text indicating that foreign countries do not accept correspondence on the front.
