Description

Stone statue of Saint Joan of Arc, clad in armor and holding a sword, displayed in the Douaumont Ossuary. The reverse indicates that it is the work of Jean Véron, 1st Grand Prix de Rome, and that the chapel is the work of architects Léon Azéma, Max Edrei, and Jacques Hardy. Postmark and cancellation of the Douaumont Ossuary (Meuse) are visible.
