Description

Interior view of the cloister of tombs at the Douaumont Ossuary, with stone arches and commemorative plaques engraved on the walls. The reverse indicates that larger stones are offered to families for 500 francs to have the names of their heroes engraved on them, and 200 francs for other stones. The circular postmark 'OSSUAIRE de DOUAUMONT (Meuse)' is placed at the bottom left.
