Description

Night view of the ossuary and lighthouse of the Douaumont monument, with an adjacent Catholic chapel, built in 1919. The reverse indicates that the work is an authorized reproduction by ministerial decree of December 3, 1919, with a poetic inscription by Pétain. A circular postmark 'OSSUAIRE de DOUAUMONT (Meuse)' is affixed at the bottom left.
