View of the provisional ossuary of Douaumont, a wooden building with a statue of the Virgin and two cannons on the porch. An inscription above the door reads: 'Whoever you are, pass and bow low — The plagues of heroes fallen for your salvation.' On the reverse, a circular postmark indicates 'Ossuary of Douaumont (Meuse)' and mentions the exclusive ownership of the Ossuary Committee.
