Description

Interior view of a provisional ossuary at Douaumont, filled with wooden coffins lined up on either side of a central altar adorned with flowers and candles. The printed text at the bottom indicates that this is a resting place for soldiers who fell at the Battle of Verdun, pending the final monument.
