Illustration of the Palace of Compiègne depicting the birth of Venus, with a central goddess surrounded by putti and nude figures in an aquatic setting. The back has a handwritten correspondence addressed to Aloïs Prevoté in Sablons, with a 15-centime postage stamp and postmarks from Compiègne and Villeneuve-la-Garenne dated August 25, 1930.
