Black and white view of the Cour des Adieux at the Palace of Fontainebleau, taken from the terrace, showing a French-style garden with paths and flower beds. On the reverse, a handwritten correspondence informs Madame Joyeux in Nanterre of the death of M. Poirignac in Fontainebleau, dated August 25, 1925. The address is directed to Madame Joyeux, 10 Rue St Denis, Nanterre. The French postage stamp from 1925 is canceled.
