Description

Richly decorated interior of the Cabinet of Abdication at the Palace of Fontainebleau, with a crystal chandelier, walls adorned with tapestries, and a central table. The side table bears the inscription: 'On April 5, 1814, Napoleon Bonaparte signed his abdication on this table.' Reverse: correspondence dated September 11, 1910, addressed to Madame Land Forman in Tilsers (Bijlmer), with a signature 'I embrace you, G. Gaudré'.
