Description

Richly decorated interior of the Abdication Room at the Palace of Fontainebleau, with an elaborate chandelier, walls adorned with tapestries, and classical furniture. The printed text recalls that on April 5, 1814, Napoleon Bonaparte signed his abdication on this table. The reverse is blank, with lines for the address and a publisher's postmark 'M. JENNER & CIE, PARIS'.
