View of the façade of the Palace of Justice in Besançon, executed in 1895 in a Renaissance style, attributed to architect Hugues Sambin (1822–1885). The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 8 August 1914, addressed to Madame Raymond in Condat-en-Feniers (Cantal), with a 10-centime postage stamp and a Besançon cancellation dated 14 August 1914.
