View of the entrance to the Court of Assizes of the Palace of Justice in Besançon, with a dark wooden door framed by Corinthian columns and a pediment bearing the inscription 'COUR D'ASSISES'. On the reverse, a handwritten address to 'M. Ernest Grou' in Bouches-du-Rhône, with a 10-centime French postage stamp and a circular cancellation from Besançon dated April 4, 1903.
