Description

Luxurious interior of Louis XIV's Chamber at the Palace of Versailles, with a richly decorated canopy bed, walls adorned with paintings and stucco, and a patterned wooden floor. On the reverse, handwritten text informs the mother that the sender will leave on Sunday evening for Chevilly, with a mention of the sender's anticipation of joining the family. French 10-centime postmark, visible cancellation.
