Description

Engraved illustration of the ancient Church of the Magdalene in Paris, with its rooster-spurred steeple and Gothic portal. The reverse details its history: founded in 1492 by Charles VIII, rebuilt in 1639, sold as national property in 1797, and demolished shortly after. The 1926 postmark and postal cancellation are visible.
