The text indicates its height (49 m. 50), the 281 steps, the first stone laid by Napoleon I in 1806, and its inauguration in 1836 by Louis-Philippe. Reverse: 40-centime postmark, dispatch stamp from G. AGUI (French Republic), handwritten correspondence to the address of Fontainebleau, and an address to M. and Mme Galeries.
