View of the Vendôme Column in Paris, with printed text describing its history: cast using 1200 cannons taken from the enemy by Napoleon, erected in 1840, 44 meters high, statue of the Emperor by Chaudet, dismantled during the Commune in 1871 and rebuilt in 1874. Reverse: handwritten address to Mr. Edmond Carmona at the College of Young Men in Mauriac (Cantal), 5c green stamp and postmark from Nîttor (Nîmes) in 1907.
