Description

View of the Église de la Madeleine in Paris, presented as a copy of the Parthenon in Athens, begun in 1764 and completed in 1843. The pediment shows the Last Judgment by Lemaire, and the bronze engraved doors by Triquetel depict the Decalogue with 34 statues. The reverse indicates the publisher L. Roisson, rue du Temple in Paris.
