Colorized postcard depicting the Fountain of the Observatory in Paris, located on the site of an old Charterhouse convent. The printed text recalls that Ney was executed there on December 7, 1815, and that his statue is located opposite the Bal Bullier. On the reverse, handwritten text addresses the card to 'Mademoiselle Yvonne Guth' in Brinne, and a 17-centime postage stamp is canceled in Duchy-le-Minier on May 28, 1905.
