The front features the inscription 'Hôtel des Invalides built from 1671 to 1674' and 'Pay homage to the tomb of Napoleon I and the Army Museum'. The reverse shows a handwritten correspondence addressed to Monsieur Galdemand in Marseille, with a 15-centime green stamp and a postmark from Toulon dated 13 May 1909.
