Description

View of the Hôtel Lambert de Thorigny in Paris, built by Le Vau in 1640 and decorated by Lesueur, Lebrun, Patel, and Romanelli. The text indicates it was inhabited by Nicolas Lambert de Thorigny, then by the marquis du Châtelet Laumont (1739), Voltaire (1768), and M. de Montalivet (1809). The reverse features the publisher J.
