Description

Interior courtyard of the Conciergerie with barred windows, where Madame Récamier, Madame Rolland, Charlotte Corday, Mademoiselle de Sombreuil, and the Dubarry were imprisoned. Reverse: French 10-centime postage stamp, cancellation mark from Gervais (France) dated 14 December 1912, address to Mademoiselle Alice Feret in Lübeck (Germany), and handwritten text mentioning that foreign correspondence is not accepted on the front.
