View of the Place de la Madeleine in Paris, with its imposing pediment and Ionic columns, bordered by cars and horse-drawn carriages from the 1920s. The reverse side features a handwritten letter addressed to Mr. Alpert in La Vienne, with two green 5-centime stamps and a Parisian postmark.
