View of the Madeleine temple in Paris, with its Ionic columns and sculpted pediment, bordered by horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians on the Rue Royale. Printed text at the bottom: 'Paris - LA MADELEINE & RUE ROYALE'. Reverse: handwritten correspondence to Miss Marie Caron in Rouen, with a 10-centime French postmark and a Parisian postal cancellation from January 26, 1916.
