View of the Place de la Madeleine in Paris, with its imposing pediment and Ionic columns, bordered by trees and animated by carriages and pedestrians. On the reverse, a green 5-centime postage stamp, postmark from Bouches-du-Rhône dated May 10, 1905, and handwritten text addressed to Maria Lacroix in Coulouze, with message: 'Friendly souvenir'.
