View of Place Vendôme in Paris with the Vendôme Column, a 43-meter monument constructed between 1806 and 1810 in bronze, made from over 1,200 cannons taken from the Austrians at Austerlitz. The reverse features handwritten correspondence addressed to Madame Huet in Burgundy, with a postmark and a Paris cancellation.
