View of Place Vendôme in Paris, centered on the Column of Vendôme, begun in 1806 and erected in 1810. The printed text indicates that it was cast using bronze from 12,000 cannons taken from enemy armies. On the reverse, a postcard dated April 8, 1917, sent from Paris to Banyuls-sur-Mer, franked with a 15-centime stamp and canceled in Paris.
