Description

View of the Rue Royale in Paris, with trams and pedestrians, illustrating the classical architecture of the buildings. The pediment of the Temple of the Madeleine depicts the Last Judgment. Printed text mentions the origin of the building under Louis XV and its transformation into a temple in 1806. Reverse: correspondence addressed to Mme Gabrielle Ternet in Chambéry, with a handwritten signature and a canceled French postmark.
