View of the Rue Royale in Paris, with the buildings of the Temple (former Roman Temple) and the Madeleine, whose structure is noted as having begun in 1784 under Louis XV and transformed into a temple in 1808. The pediment depicts the Last Judgment. The reverse has a handwritten correspondence addressed to 'Claude' in Ropolo Pietro, with a red stamp and a Parisian cancellation dated 18-2-1911.
