Description

View of the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile in Paris, with carriages and pedestrians. Printed text at the bottom: 'The Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, located at the top of the Montagne du Roule. Napoleon decreed it on February 18, 1806. Chalgrin began it on August 15. It was completed only in 1836. It is a marvel of architecture; the height is 50 meters, the width 44 meters.' On the reverse, handwritten address to 'Miss Jeanne Martin, at her parents' home, Rue de Bezons, Courbevoie, Seine'.
