Description

View of the Panthéon in Paris, built by Soufflot, completed in 1764, dedicated to Sainte-Geneviève, then converted to a place of worship under the Directory in 1795, and finally disused in 1885. In the background, the colossal group of the Monument to the Convention by David d'Angers, with the tombs of great men such as Marat, Rousseau, Voltaire, Victor Hugo, Sadi Carnot and Gambetta. Printed text on the reverse.
