Description

View of the Panthéon in Paris, a building designed by Soufflot, completed in 1764, dedicated to Sainte Geneviève, then converted into a Temple of Glory in 1806 and into the Panthéon in 1885. The interior features frescoes by David d'Angers and tombs of notable figures such as Marat, Rousseau, Voltaire, Hugo, Sadi-Carnot, and Gambetta. Reverse: 25-cent postage stamp, postmark of Paris, 28 July 1915, addressed to Mrs. and Mr. Beaugard in Ardennes, with the publisher's signature L. Boisson.
