View of classical ruins with columns and fragment of an architrave at the edge of a pond, surrounded by dense vegetation. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Henriette Mademoiselle Desage in Lucerne, Switzerland, dated 21 September 1905, with a red stamp and a postmark from Paris.
