The printed text indicates that the Tuileries were started in 1564 by Philibert Delorme and burned down in 1871. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Bouquereil in Compiegne, with a 10-centime postmark and a cancellation from Paris dated July 16, 1907.
