Description

View of the Institute of France in Paris, a building constructed by Louis Leveau on the site of the Hôtel de Nesle, assigned in 1806 to the services of the Institute. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated August 13, 1933, sent from Paris, with a violet 40-cent postage stamp and a circular cancellation 'PARIS XI'.
