View of the Institut de France with its dome and the Pont des Arts spanning the Seine, under a cloudy sky. The reverse features handwritten text, a 10-cent postage stamp from the 'La République' series (1863–1865), and a Parisian postmark of March 30, 1863. The address is intended for Madame Jean Lalle in Belfort, with a sender of M. de La Bussière in Paris.
