View of the Concorde Obelisk in Paris, a pink syenite monolith from the ruins of Thebes in Upper Egypt, erected in 1830. Printed text on the front indicates its height (22m83) and origin. Reverse: French 10-centime postage stamp, postmark from Paris (15 May 1908), handwritten correspondence to Mlle Bartel in Dourdan, mentioning telegraphy and monuments of Paris.
