View of the Palais du Luxembourg in Paris, with a fountain and pedestrians in the foreground. Printed text on the front recalls the history of the building: built in 1612, seat of the Directory, then the Senate under the Second Empire, and Prefecture of the Seine after the fire at the Hôtel de Ville in 1871. The reverse presents the areas for writing the address and correspondence, with a partial handwritten trace.
